Opening Night Film: Three Rivers Film Festival
Presented in 3D!
An experimental cinematic poem from French New Wave pioneer, Jean-Luc Godard, who at 83, works as a truly independent filmmaker. His goal was to create a work that embodies his own state of being in relation to time, light, color, the problem of living and speaking with others, and, cinema itself. The artist’s beloved dog Roxy is the de facto “star” of this beautiful film (Jury Prize winner at this year’s Cannes Film Fest) which was shot, and can only be seen and experienced, in wondrous 3-D. The temptation may be strong to see this as a farewell, but this remarkable artist is already hard at work on a new project.
