Raime (UK)
“An epic study in vast, cavernous resonance, and the sort of bass that engulfs you whole - as indebted to dub and doom metal as it is to classical minimalism.“ - the Quietus
This London duo draws its power from its exquisite, overwhelming slowness. One of Blackest Ever Black’s breakout artists, Raime’s live a/v performance revives the haunting coldness of British industrial and post punk scenes of the 1980s, while blending it with entirely of-the-moment, post-jungle/dubstep rhythmic directions. Their releases have sparked comparisons to Coil, Pan Sonic, Shackleton and Prurient and been described with phrases such as "dread minimalism."
For the VIA Festival, this performance features a limited edition of sub-paks attached to theater seats. Prepare for a full-body takeover.

Dream Weapon (Pgh)
Formed in 2006 – 2007 from the ashes of syne-lapse-variate, J. Wayne Clinton’s Dream Weapon project is a harsh ambient and experimental music outlet. Often described as experimental, ambient, accousmatic, drone, synth, noize, glitch, and avant-garde, Clinton’s take on sound is unique and enthralling.
