1961. France. Directed by Jean-Luc Godard. With Anna Karina, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Jean-Claude Brialy. Godard’s second feature to be released, a color and musical (sort of) homage to Ernst Lubitsch and René Clair, is one of the lightest and most charming works in his 60-year career. Karina would soon become Mrs. Godard and star in several of his best films. In French; English titles. 85 min.
