Songs of a Generation is a celebration of song, featuring two of the most influential songwriters of the 60's through the 90's. Janis Ian's hit songs include "Society's Child", "At Seventeen", "Jessie" and many more from her 29 albums and cds. Karla Bonoff has written
numerous million selling songs including "Someone To Lay Down Beside Me", "Home", "All My Life", "Personally" and "Tell Me Why." These two iconic stars will take you on a musical journey starting in 1966 when Ian's "Society's Child" became a lightning rod for racial

In the decades following, she earned nine Grammy nominations and over 20 million record sales worldwide. Janis is now reaching a third generation of fans as an acclaimed author with “Society’s Child: My Autobiography” and accompanying double CD-set on Sony Music, The Essential Janis Ian, her first career compilation in 29 releases. It includes “At Seventeen”, a song that earned five Grammy nominations in 1975 (the most any solo female artist had ever garnered).
