Christmas in Compton Benefit

CHRISTMAS IN COMPTON, co-produced by locals Paula Gregg and Susan Burig, opening in theaters November 9th, will have a special screening at the Hollywood Theater Dormont on November 16th at 6pm. Many of the cast, Steelers and other pro-athletes will be in attendance to welcome film-goers and to raffle-off signed Steelers memorabilia. Attendees will enjoy a complimentary vodka bar sponsored by White Diamond Vodka, and a free combo pack with popcorn, candy and a soda, thanks to Spirit Pen Promotions, makers of “BlackOut,” the under-eye makeup for all pro-athletes. In the spirit of giving back, the organizers, in conjunction with Blazer Capital Management, have chosen for the proceeds of the night’s raffle to benefit local foundations and the Red Cross, in support of Hurricane Sandy victims.

Confirmed attendees include cast members: Miguel Nunez, Porscha Coleman and Omar Gooding. Confirmed Steelers include Charlie Batch, Maurkice Pouncey, Chris Rainey, Larry Foote, James Harrison and LaMarr Woodley. Also confirmed, Josh Harrison of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pascal Dupuis and Matt Cooke of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Russell Okung of the Seattle Seahawks and recording artist Jasmine Villegas. Other surprise guests may include Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller, and Benji Grinberg of Rostrum Records amongst many others.
