Event Description
Carnegie Mellon Symphony Orchestra
Ronald Zollman, Music Director

Under the direction of Ronald Zollman, the Carnegie Mellon Symphony Orchestra will perform the overture from The Creatures of Prometheus and a pair of symphonies by Beethoven. $5 general admission. Students free w/ valid ID.

Program:

Overture from The Creatures of Prometheus, Op. 43 by Ludwig van Beethoven
Symphony No. 8 in F Major, Op. 93 by Ludwig van Beethoven
Symphony No. 4 in B-flat Major, Op. 60 by Ludwig van Beethoven

The Symphony Orchestra performs outstanding repertoire that calls for smaller forces than the Philharmonic, yet also requires additional players than that of the Chamber Orchestra. Typical programs might feature works by Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, and works by modern composers.
