Event Description
At the turn of the 20th Century, a young woman defies the laws of her people to pursue a dream. Filled with a love of Torah, Yentl becomes Anshel, a young man studying his religion at the Yeshiva. Entangled in a web of lies, Anshel marries Hadass, taking both on a journey they won't soon forget.

Immortalized by Barbra Streisand on film, Isaac Bashevis SInger's story was first presented as a play on Broadway starring Tovah Feldshuh in 1975. It returns to the New York stage in a new revival directed by Steven Carl McCasland and presented by The Beautiful Soup Theater Collective.

Mallory Berlin stars as Yentl, with Alex Pagels as Avigdor and Kim Sweet as Hadass.

They are joined by Leonardo Abraham, Luke Anthony, Kira Christoforidis, Adam Foldes, Orlando Iriarte, Jessica McHugh, Zac Moon, Ev Roufeh, Yael Shavitt and Noelle Stewart.
