When the Women's Health Initiative (WHI) Study was released in 2002, millions of women were using hormone therapy to treat the symptoms of menopause. The over-sensationalized, undocumented and in some cases completely unproven statistics released by the WHI caused a media frenzy of misinformation endangering the health and well being of millions of women, many of whom flushed their hormones down the toilet.

HOT FLASH HAVOC is a documentary about this controversy; over abundance of misleading statements and unsubstantiated claims. Health care providers are often as confused and mislead by these myths which have now become the basis for a heated national debate that at some point every women (and the men in their life) will have to go through.
