The Oaks Theater will screen Bruce Springsteen's The Promise: The Making of Darkness On The Edge of Town as part of the film's limited theatrical run being held exclusively at community-based specialty cinemas as a fundraising event for local non-profit organizations.

The Promise: The Making of Darkness On The Edge of Town combines never-before-seen footage of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band shot between 1976 and 1978, including home rehearsals and studio sessions with new interviews with Springsteen, E Street Band members, manager Jon Landau, former-manager Mike Appel, and others closely involved in the making of the record. Directed by Grammy- and Emmy-winning filmmaker Thom Zimny, The Promise has received a rapturous critical response around the world, including at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival, the BFI London Festival, and International Rome Film Festival.
