MOVING BEYOND PROTESTS: Charting a New Course for Oregon

This grass roots training event and celebration, to be held on Saturday, Dec. 11, is for people interested or active in TEA Party politics who want to impact the Oregon budget process as the legislature approaches it's next session in January. This is the only event of it's kind being held this year.

Training will be provided on: 1) The Oregon budget process, 2) The "Facing Reality" budget proposals drafted by the Cascade Policy Institute and Americans for Prosperity, 3) How grass roots volunteers can lobby legislators effectively and, 4) How to testify effectively before legislative committees in three minutes. NYT best-selling author and Fox News personality Wayne Allen Root will also do a session on the future of the TEA Party. Training will be provided by experts from the Cascade Policy Institute and Americans for Prosperity. The Oregon 9-12 Project is also a participating organization.

The $40 non-refundable fee, which you can reclaim through the Oregon Political Tax Credit, includes admission to the 12:30 general assembly, all training sessions and materials, a 5:30 cocktail hour featuring live music, and a Victory Dinner at 6:30 including a panel of speakers featuring Amazon best-selling author and Fox News personality Wayne Allyn Root (pictured above) an state representative-elect Katie Eyre Brewer. More information about Mr. Root can be found on his website, www.rootforamerica.com.
